Bug Control: Mosquitoes

Entomology and Plant Pathology assistant professor Dr. Bruce Noden and Extension Livestock Entomologist Justin Talley discuss the importance of mosquito prevention. 

 

Mosquitoes can be more than just a summertime pest. They can carry sickness and disease.

  • Never go outside in the summertime (especially at night) without a form of bug spray on. 

  •  Keep your yard cleared out to avoid areas of standing water. 

  • Avoid wearing scents that attract mosquitoes and essential oils that have not been approved for mosquito prevention
