America's Greatest Homecoming


Oklahoma State University is home to America’s Greatest Homecoming Celebration.


In this video, learn about the history behind some of the most popular events. 


Popular homecoming events:

  • Dyeing the library fountain orange fountain kicks off the week’s festivities.

  • Walkaround started in the 1960s. In 1969, it became a competition between Greek houses. 

  • Harvest carnival/chilli cook-off is a chance for the public to come together for a night of fun and games.

  • The sign competition allows  student organizations and Greek houses to show off their organizations.

  • Homecoming encourages alumni and fans to return to Stillwater  and reconnect with the university and celebrate their pride at being in the Cowboy family.
